In this episode we begin to explore the teachings contained in the Corpus Hermetica.  We discuss the foggy history of the 17 books that make up the basic texts and start to read the first in G.R.S. Mead"s translation of Poemandres, The Shepherd of Men.  We get through the first 9 verses and there is a lot to discuss and discover as we explore.  Enjoy!

Noachic Fragments from 1 Enoch translated by R H Charles.  We learn about the strange birth of Noah and some of the prophecies of the flood from Enoch and the role of Noah in surviving the deluge. Also, some of the reason God was adamant the flood should take place.

We introduce 1 Enoch translated by RH Charles, give some of the background history of the Book of Enoch, talk about the sparse biblical references found in the Bible about Enoch, etc
